Events & reliability

Delivery retries & replay

Repair webhook delivery without creating a second business event.

Delivery attempts

Delivery is at least once. Network failures, HTTP 429 and HTTP 5xx are retryable under the configured policy. Other unsuccessful responses can be terminal. A failed delivery is not equivalent to a failed financial instruction.

Replay eligible events

POST /v1/webhook-deliveries/{event_id}/replay queues the same immutable event ID. Use a fresh key for that replay operation and no JSON body. HTTP 202 confirms queueing, not delivery. Only eligible terminal delivery states can start a replay.

Receiver recovery

  • Restore verification and durable inbox processing.
  • Reconcile affected resources against canonical reads.
  • Replay events requiring repair.
  • Deduplicate replayed IDs and preserve attempt history.
