Track funding, execution and settlement as distinct business transitions.

Canonical trade reads

Use GET /v1/trades/{trade_id} for a known trade and GET /v1/trades for filtered history. Retain customer_reference alongside system IDs. Provider acknowledgement is not sufficient to infer final settlement.

Events and resource reads

Use signed events to trigger processing. Read canonical resources after interruptions, conflicting updates or missing events. Delivery is at least once; persist processed event IDs.

Funding and unresolved outcomes

Track reserved funds separately from available funds. Unresolved execution or settlement can retain a reservation. Elapsed time is not authority to release committed funds or create a replacement instruction.
